The Objectives
-
To
ensure that a strong supply chain is created and maintained for sustained
supply of Fruits and Vegetables to Janani's Modified Atmospheric Packaging
Unit as well as other Units manufacturing Valued Added Products under
Janani's Brand Name

To
undertake Contract Farming arrangements directly with Farmers, Associations
and Co-operatives

To
create Modern Integrated Facility Centers, Branded as "Janani's
Integrated Agro Facility Centers" (JIAFC) at Strategic Locations
near the cluster of farms to provide post harvest management facilities for
Horticultural Produces, which will include Controlled Atmospheric
storages, pre-cooling, sorting, grading and packaging services.

provide Farm Inputs like Seeds, Fertilizers, Pesticides, etc. to farmers
through JIAFC'S for a Supply Chain will be created with the manufacturers of
Farm Inputs

To
provide Technical and Management Consultancy to Farmers

To
Provide Nodal Points for interaction with the Field Officers of Department
of Horticulture, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh at strategic locations

To
ensure Quality Control measures are undertaken and wastages are eliminated
at each level between farm and factory

To
deploy qualified and trained professionals for procurement of raw materials

To
ensure synchronized production plans exist between Farms, MAP Unit, Other
Processing Units and Marketing Network

The Strategy
-
We
are aligning with the Department of Horticulture, Government of Andhra
Pradesh, who will aid us in tying up with the Farmers and Farmer
Co-operatives and Associations. Further the objectives of the Department of
Horticulture to promote modern farming techniques and improve the
productivity will be better served through our Strategic Alliance as it will
provide the opportunity for Direct Purchase of the Fruits and Vegetables
from the Farmers and eliminating the intermediaries who are exploiting the
situation today

While
Janani will create and manage the entire supply chain the crucial link
between the Farmer and Janani will be achieved through the Janani's
Integrated Agro Facility Centers, to be set up at strategic locations.

The
JIAFCs will be manned under a franchisee arrangement by the Agriculture
Graduates through the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of "Agri-Clinics
and Agri-Business Centres". This will be achieved through active
involvement of MANAGE (National Institute of Agricultural Extension
Management), Hyderabad.
